Over 250 unsuspecting customers were spanked with kindness from December 16 through 18, as Unity One Credit Union celebrated the opening of their new Maplewood, MN branch location.
Unity One employees surprised patrons at various local businesses by paying for their gas, purchasing their lunch and by providing breakfast treats and hot chocolate.
“These acts were the perfect way to get out into our new community to demonstrate that free still exists. At Unity One, we believe that banking shouldn’t hurt. We invite anyone who is feeling the sting from their current financial institution to check out our hassle-free banking experience,” said Craig Hart, branch manager at the new Maplewood location.
The branch, located at 1535 Beam Ave., welcomes members Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
