Credit union informs: Free Boo Bash Event

Boo BashThe Northpark YMCA has joined forces with Unity One Credit Union for a rockin' good time at the FREE family-friendly "Northpark YMCA Boo Bash, presented by Unity One Credit Union."

"We're proud to be partnering with the Northpark YMCA for our final 'Random Acts of Kindness' event," said Erayne Hill, VP of Marketing of Unity One Credit Union. "Over the last 6 months, we've shared more than $4,500 worth of surprise gifts to people throughout Tarrant County. From pizza to tanks of gas and meals to gift cards, the entire Unity One team has thoroughly enjoyed spreading kindness to our neighbors. The family-friendly 'Boo Bash' is going to be a fantastic finale!"

The Boo Bash will include:

  • Spiderweb Crawl
  • Pumpin Bowling
  • Bounce Houses
  • Face Painting
  • Carnival Games
  • Cake Walk
  • Special appearance by Rangers Captain, mascot for Texas Rangers Baseball

Three finalist bands chosen from an online contest will participate in a "Battle of the Bands" judged by local leaders. The finalists are:

  • Zero Gravity - This Keller band has been playing together for 3 ½ years. They play a variety of music from Guns and Roses to Paramore and of course their originals, including their wildly popular "You Only Live Once."
  • The Tendons - The Tendons are a rock band based out of Fort Worth. Their influences range from Rush and the Grateful Dead to Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine.
  • The Josh Lee Band - The Josh Lee Band is based out of Arlington, Texas. Each member is dedicated to creating music that is written with passion for every note played. They play a variety of music and are influenced by many different genres including: country, pop and classic rock.

There will also be an opportunity during the "Boo Bash" for adults to participate in a Cash Cube offering nearly $1,000 in prize money. Complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs are available for the first 600 people, along with free drinks and candy for the kids.
