Credit union informs: Help Stuff the Bus for United Way

stbUnity One Credit Union's Kansas City branch has partnered with United Way of Wyandotte County to collect school supplies for their "Stuff the Bus" drive. Stuff the Bus is an initiative that supports children in the Wyandotte County community by helping them start school with confidence and gives them the literal tools they need to succeed. 

Items for backpack donations include:

  • Box of 12 colored pencils
  • Box of 24 crayons
  • Box of 10 markers

If you would like to make a donation, please drop your items off at our Kansas City Branch, located at 4150 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, KS 66106. Donations will be collected until July 21, 2015. 

All items collected are distributed free of charge to recipients by the United Way.

Credit union informs: Random Acts of Kindness in Kansas City!

Random Acts of Kindness are making their way to our Kansas City branch. Stop by the McDonald's at 4101 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, 66106, this Friday, June 12, starting at 7:30 a.m. for a Spank Free Day!

We will be handing out free coffee to members and non-members. Find out what Spank Free Banking is all about. Supplies are limited, so don't wait until it's too late.

Credit union informs: KC branch participates in Project Warmth

Project Warmth   blogUnity One Credit Union's Kansas City branch has partnered with Project Warmth to collect new and gently used coats and blankets to help people in need during extremely cold weather. 

Project Warmth, started in 1982 by The Kansas City Star, aims to ensure lives are not lost to frigid cold or sweltering heat. Last year, Project Warmth collected and distributed over 6,500 coats and 2,400 blankets to those in need. 

If you would like to make a donation, please drop your items off at our Kansas City Branch, located at 4150 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, KS 66106.

Credit union informs: KC branch hosts Business After Hours

Unity One Credit Union

Unity One Credit Union will host a Business After Hours event on Thursday, August 28 for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

The free event, open to members of the Chamber, will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 4150 Kansas Ave., Kansas City, KS. It will include refreshments. Bring your business cards, and make new contacts.

In addition to meeting members of the chamber, free document shredding will be available to guests. Pro Shred will be on-site to shred documents starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the voice of Kansas City business since 1887, represents more than 2,500 businesses with a two-state regional workforce of over 300,000.
