Please note: If you received an e-mail recently regarding your bill payment being rejected on December 14, but you see the transaction debited to your account, please disregard that e-mail. Your payment was successful.
Security enhancements are scheduled to begin October 16 for bill pay users. Each time you load a new payee or bill to be paid, a risk evaluation will be performed to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. It's another way Unity One is keeping your money safe and secure. Also, you won't notice any change as the evaluation is running.
If the risk evaluation warrants further authentication, you may be presented with one or more challenge questions such as a multiple choice question to identify your city of residence, type of car or other information pulled from public databases. The questions are not difficult, and they are designed so that you will know the answer. Take a look at the screen shot provided; a question may look similar to this.
If you have any questions regarding this security enhancement to bill pay, don't hesitate to call or email Unity One's member contact center.
