Last Friday, Unity One Credit Union completed the Ice Bucket Challenge benefiting the ALS Association. The challenge has been successful at both raising awareness and money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, which is more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
Gary Williams, president, and Erayne Hill, vice president of marketing, both took part in the challenge. Williams challenged Mark Massey of My Credit Union and Ron Fox of Fort Worth City Credit Union to participate as well.
In addition to Williams' participation in the challenge, Unity One proudly donated funds to the ALS Association. For more information on the ALS Association visit http://www.alsa.org/.
